RRTC Consumer Advisory Panel

Our consumer specialist hosted a meeting of our RRTC consumer advisory panel (CAP) on Thursday,December 9, 2010 at MUSC. The purpose of this CAP was to discuss format revisions of the RRTC Core survey instrument. The attendees completed a sample survey and gave valuable insight and suggested format revisions for the survey. These revisions included identifying skip patterns more clearly and bolding key words in a variety of questions to make them easier to understand. We will make appropriate revisions and be able to print the survey instrument in the near future.

In addition, the participants reviewed the Health Services Received Questionnaire. They made suggestions to add questions:
• what type of insurance did the participant have at the time of injury?
• how much recreational therapy did participant receive during treatment at inpatient rehabilitation?
• did participant receive any social worker services (information about community resources) during treatment at inpatient rehabilitation?
