Fall Conference Presentations-DRRP and RRTC

Our team has presented at numerous conferences throughout the fall for the DRRP and RRTC grants. Below is a list of recent presentations.

On September 17, 2011, Dr. Sligh Conway presented “Race-ethnicity, health behaviors, and secondary conditions in SCI” at the Summit 2011 annual conference of the Paralyzed Veterans of American in Orlando, FL. Dr. Sligh Conway is a collaborator from South Carolina State University on our DRRP grant.

On September 30, 2011, Dr. Krause presented “Considerations in Applying for NIDRR Grants” at the 2011 South Carolina State University Research Forum in Orangeburg, SC. This was also part of our DRRP grant as a means of capacity building.

On October 13, 2011, Karla Reed presented the poster “Natural course of life changes after spinal cord injury: A 35-year longitudinal study” and Dr. Yue Cao presented the poster “Trends in suicide mortality after spinal cord injury 1973-2009” at the annual conference of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine in Atlanta, GA.

On October 14, 2011, Karla Reed, Dr. Yue Cao, and Dr. Mike DeVivo took part as presenters for the symposium “Disparities in health outcomes after TBI and SCI” at the annual conference of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine in Atlanta, GA.
